Between becoming a Victoria’s Secret Angel earlier in February and launching a fitness YouTube channel, this year has been a whirlwind for Josephine Skriver.

Just weeks away from walking the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, Skriver decided to kick off her philanthropic efforts by teaming up with eyewear brand, Illesteva, in creating a stylish pair of sunglasses.

The proceeds from the $240 sunglasses would go to the Keep a Child Alive organization, which assists in treating children with AIDS and HIV in Africa, India, Kenya, Rwanda, South Africa and Uganda.

The frames are a slightly different version from the Palm Beach Illesteva sunglasses, which the model wears on the regular.

Skriver usually favors the Italian brand sunglasses, but this version is a marbled frame in limited quantity.

As for how the collaborative project came about, Skriver noted the organic way Illesteva approached her. “I supported Keep a Child Alive during the Cantor Fitzgerald Charity Day event, and I knew that they were a charity that I wanted to get more involved with,” 23-year-old said.

“Illesteva was up for the challenge of helping me create something that reflected my love for fashion and also helped benefit this amazing organization. It was a marriage of two passions.”
