Rag & Bone designers Nathan Bogle and Marcus Wainwright decided to switch things up during New York Fashion Week. On Feb. 15 they showed their fall/winter 2016 men’s and women’s collection simultaneously on the runway.
On a bare open stage, male and female models marched side by side sporting this season’s designs. The show appeared as if two different runways were occurring at the same time.
“You’re going to have to really focus left and right,” said Wainwright, according to the New York Times.
The designs for the men’s wear and women’s wear were parallels. The collections stood out on their own but complimented each other nicely.
“It’s a big part of our brand, having both the guy and the girl. We figured this would be a big brand moment for us, to put it all back together on one runway,” said Neville to the NY Times.
The Rag & Bone collection had lots of energy flowing throughout. The designers utilized bright, electric colors along with bold patterns. The fashion featured high-cuffed denim, tailored jackets, shabby knits and motocross t-shirts. Nineties tracksuits even made an appearance. Subtle makeup, loaders and chunky boots pulled everything together.
Rag & Bone is known for exceeding in men’s wear. As we’ve reported, they had a show in the men’s fashion week during the summer of 2015.
