With Gigi Hadid opening the much anticipated show for Tommy Hilfiger’s fall 2016 ready-to-wear collection, New York Fashion Week started off with a bang on Sep. 9.

Over at Pier 16, the carnival-themed pier drew crowds, who made their way to their front row seats.

As Fashion Week first reported last year, Tommy Hilfiger tapped Gigi to work on the Tommy x GiGi capsule collection. Working double duty as a global brand ambassador and a model on the catwalk, Gigi made this the show every starlet wanted to be at.

From Taylor Swift’s squad to Olivia Palermo, the show was sold out for Gigi’s collaboration with the all-American nautical concept.

The collection fluctuated from athleisure sporty crop tops to chunky dad sweaters.

The parallel lines of buttons adorn high-waisted everything — from skirts to jeans. That was all Gigi, according to Tommy, who spoke to USA Today about the details.

Models, like Taylor Hill and Sara Sampaio, strutted the runway in knit thigh-high socks reminiscent a few years back, but the collection overall is very wearable with the staple moto jacket and denim shorts.

The 21-year-old model had been promoting the capsule collection, from spritzing The Girl Eau de Toilette Spray in a fun commercial to sneak peeks of her collection on social media with her legion of followers.

Take a look at 10 of the standout outfits from the collection.
