After her collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, Gigi Hadid has not slowed down. Next up was the reveal of her Stuart Weitzman hiking boots on Tues., Oct. 25.
The 21-year-old model put a new spin on the classic hiking boot by designing them in gunmetal colors and croc print, making the trio of boots, perfect for her squad of girlfriends to wear. The two-toned laces, strung along the metallic eyelets, are long enough to tie around the ankle for an effortless style.
Now that she has tackled a clothing line, you would think it might be easier for the Los Angeles native, but as Gigi admits to Vogue, she had her work cut out for her. “I was always able to come up with the look for the shoe in my brain, but they were a bit harder to execute than clothing,” she says.
Not only would the boots be a good gift, but the collaboration with the footwear company serves a good cause, as “Weitzman has pledged to build three schools in Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos with the charity Pencils of Promise.”
The model of the moment favors the collection for its seamless wear from day to night and from sexy to sporty.
Gigi definitely took in the sporty nature by shooting her campaign, while boxing in her stylish boots. Shot by James Franco, the #doitright campaign featured Gigi further impressing us with her boxing skills.
As for acting advice from James, Gigi just embraced the moment even when she was exhausted. That day Gigi boxed for 12 hours in the boots, but would the model recommend boxing in these babies? Not exactly. Whether the modern woman is wearing sweatpants or a spiffy dress, the model believes that the Gigi Boot could be dressed up or dressed down.
In addition to her duties at Tommy Hilfiger and now with Stuart Weitzman, Gigi has joined Reebok‘s #PerfectNever campaign, in which she also shows off her boxing hobby.
Shop the Gigi Boot in croc black, metallic cooper or iron grey. The collection ranges from $565 to $598 for each pair.
