Sienna Miller, known for her roles in successful films like Casanova, is also a model, fashion designer, and Boho-Chic icon. As the cover of Porter’s summer magazine, Sienna Miller adds a fun and coy flair to Porter’s idealized summer looks. Let’s check out some sneak peeks from this flawless, beachy photoshoot:
The cover says it all – Sienna Miller’s gorgeous smile, windswept hair and billowing navy TOM FORD dress give a free-spirited feel to the magazine, according to The Fashion Spot. Porter even refers to this edition as “Summer Escape 2016,” emphasizing the other-worldliness of Sienna Miller’s photographs.
Miller’s naturally stunning look is reminiscent of beach-house romance novels and hidden summer getaways. This shot glorifies Sienna’s long legs and her flawless complexion, without overdoing her makeup or wardrobe, making her a gorgeous, yet relatable choice for Porter’s summer edition. In this photograph, Miller sports a high-necked Victoria Beckham sweater and adorable Eres bikini bottoms, according to Daily Mail. The yellow pop of color and soft wave in Miller’s hair gives a retro vibe to the photoshoot, a theme that we will see throughout the magazine.
Sienna stuns again in this seemingly candid shot. Her wet hair and simple white dress express an organic aspect to her beauty. The daring red shoe is blunt and bold against an otherwise flowing composition. Interestingly, the entire photograph is almost reminiscent of Marilyn Monroe and her signature elements: the white dress, blonde hair, and flirtatious undertones.
Porter continues with the nostalgic feeling with some black-and-white pictures of Sienna as well. The wide-legged white pantsuit and matching vest, designed by Dolce & Gabbana, are very ’70s-inspired. The black-tipped Chanel heels are even more old-fashioned. The simplicity of color is balanced by the spontaneity of Sienna’s body placement – it doesn’t look posed!
This stunning shot features Miller in a Cavalleria Toscana pirate-sleeved button-down. The white riding pants perfectly contrast those high Alberto Fasciani boots. Again, Miller looks like she walked right out of an old photograph!
I cannot wait to see what more Porter photographers and stylists have in store for this refreshingly old-school photoshoot, as well as the well-spoken Sienna Miller’s interview when Porter releases this edition on June 3.
All in all, this may be my favorite Porter photoshoot.
