Shu Uemura collabs with Japanese artist for holiday makeup collection

Shu Uemura has partnered with contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami for an exclusive 2016 holiday makeup collection.

The collection’s theme will focus on the magic of the holiday season, with products like shimmery shades and floral designs to bring a festive feel to the product line. The collection was inspired by Takashi Murakami Flower, which according to ShuUemura.com, “symbolizes love, hope and peace and represents the world of poetry and magic, loved by so many people.”

The brand often looks to modern day artists like Murakami to create their latest collections. With Murakami being known as the “Japanese Andy Warhol,” the brand is certainly looking for a unique beauty experience to put out for their consumers.

The line consists of 15 bright and illuminating colors of eyeliner pencils, shimmery eye shadow pallets, foundations and lotions such as the Cosmic Blossom Eye & Cheek Palette, Shu Uemura Christmas Foundation Kit and Shu Uemura Rouge Unlimited Sheer Shine.

The collection is available now on ShuUemura.com
