Rihanna just can’t stop work work work work work-ing on building her empire. The singer has signed on to do a makeup collection with the Kendo division of LVMH Moët Hennesy Louis Vuitton.
The makeup line launching in the fall of 2017 will be called Fenty Beauty by Rihanna. It is estimated that LVMH paid upwards of $10 million for the deal.
David Suliteanu, chief executive officer of Kendo, said, “Fenty Beauty by Rihanna is a beauty rocket ship that will appeal to a huge and diverse global audience. We are aiming for the stars,” according to WWD.
Suliteanu added that “Kendo is honored to work with Rihanna.”
The 28-year-old singer is very successful in the music industry and there is no doubt that her success could very well carry over into the cosmetic world. In the past, Rihanna collaborated with MAC Cosmetics for the RiRi Hearts MAC Color cosmetics collection. She has also released seven fragrances.
Other major color cosmetics projects that Kendo has completed have been Kat Von D Beauty and Marc Jacobs Beauty.
