Paris Men’s Fashion Week begins tomorrow, with over 50 labels ready to present their shows. The fashion week will run five days, with a range of collections from Hermes and Louis Vuitton to a menswear debut from Hood by Air.
One of the most anticipated shows of the week is Balmain’s menswear debut. The Saturday show will cover Balmain’s men’s ready-to-wear line. Although created in 2009, the line “already accounts for 40 percent of its sales,” Business Insider reports. Balmain sports Olivier Rousteing as its creative director, who came into the position when he was just 26 in 2011. The fashion house is also set to collaborate with H&M in a collection that will be released in November.
Some of the other shows will be those of Strateas Carlucci, Valentino, Lemaire, and Rick Owens. Coming in fresh from Milan, Paris Men’s Fashion Week looks to be a great series of shows, with Paris’ haute couture fashion week beginning soon after on July 5th.
