Is there anything Google cannot do? Now in case you are wondering if your outfit is fashionable, Google will be able to assist.
The search engine company released a new report that explained that the will be able to judge the fashionable quality by tracking how often different styles or garments are entered in their search queries, Time reported.
Google provided an example of how this high fashion and tech mashup has taken place. The Tulle skirt in 2015 has grown in popularity by 34% from last year according to trending Google apparel searches, while jogger pants are becoming increasingly ubiquitous.
This new feature has allowed the tech giant to work with some big names in the fashion industry including, Calvin Klein. Lisa Green, who heads Google’s fashion and luxury team explained the potential with this new ability during an interview with The New York Times. “We’re interested in being powerful digital consultants for our brands, not just somebody they can talk to about what ads they can buy online,” said Green.
