New K-beauty trend making a splash in the States

Would you try this mask?

Splish, splash, I was takin’ a bath…

when I used my splash mask!

The splash mask is the latest Korean beauty trend to hit the States and actually simplifies your night-time routine.

Unlike the multi-step routine common in a traditional Korean skincare routine, the splash mask actually directs you to use it while showering.

Consider the splash mask a step you apply after cleansing in the shower. After pouring the liquid in your palm, you lightly splash water on your face as you pat gently. Proceed to moisturize after you are out of the shower.

We’re loving the practicality of this trend without waiting for an actual mask to dry.

For now, you can try the Blithe Soothing & Healing Green Tea Splash Mask ($45). This one has green tea extract, salicylic acid and tea tree oil for those with inflammation or oily skin.

If you have dry skin, this Tsubaki Splash Mask from Boscia ($38) has rice bran oil and betaine. The rice bran, specifically, targets dark spots, while the betaine balances your skin.

All this in a few seconds? We’re sold!

Have you tried splash masks? What’s your take on them compared with sheet masks or clay masks? Let us know!
