In the fall of 2015, the Internet discovered actor Leonardo DiCaprio’s Swedish doppelgänger, 21-year-old Konrad Annerud.
When this discovery was made, the world wide web went nuts, launching Annerud into viral fame, as TheCelebrityCafe.com reported. Now all that fame is paying off in more ways than just new social media followers.
According to Fashionista, the young DiCaprio look-a-like has landed his first professional modeling gig with Barneys New Work for their Ralph Lauren Purple lookbook. With his long dirty blonde hair, strong jawline and serious gaze, Annerud is the spitting image of the ‘90s-era DiCaprio. It is not surprising at all that Barneys wants him to model.
“It can become a bit hard sometimes when people call me Leo instead of my name. But it’s fun to be like him. He’s handsome,” Annerud told Swedish website Nyheter.
The lookbook is set to debut online. Annerud isn’t signed with the modeling agency and is just making a special appearance that was coordinated through Instagram.

In the long run, modeling is not the road that Annerud wants to go down. He reportedly has signed on with Universal to pursue his solo music career.
