Kathy Griffin’s stint on commentary television might last a little longer than we thought.
In a recent Twitter post, Griffin announced that she was quitting Fashion Police after appearing in only 7 episodes. Griffin stated ” I do not want to use my comedy to contribute to a culture of unattainable perfectionism and intolerance towards difference.” Her exit comes shortly after controversy centering around co-host Giuliana Rancic’s racistcomments.

As it turns out however, Griffin might be moving on to bigger and better things. According to the New York Daily News, producers on The View might be looking to hire Griffin as a co-host after she left a positive impression on them last Monday when she served as a guest host.
Griffin also received a tweet of support from Whoopi Goldberg, one of the hosts of The View, after she made the announcement that she was quitting Fashion Police. Goldberg’s tweet comes after Rosie O’Donell has exited the show, leaving an open hosting seat to fill, according to ET.
Bravo @kathygriffin ! You have to try it to know if you like it. You did and it wasn’t for you. And now, now a new change is going to come.

Could this “new change” be a full time hosting gig on The View? Only time will tell…
