We might be months away from unofficial glowing reviews of Emma Stone showing off her musical chops in La La Land, but she’s already glowing on the cover of Vogue.
The redhead posed in the backlot of Burbank, embracing the backdrop where the movie was shot.
Wearing designers, ranging from Bottega Veneta to Gucci, the Oscar nominee brought her jazz hands in the whimsical photoshoot.
Emma even wore a green polka-dot Michael Kors collection dress, as she posed behind a counter for a bakery.
The final cover finds Emma embodying the “pretty chic” allure with her signature red tresses and striped navy and white crop top.
The 27-year-old actress, who went from Easy A to December’s Damien Chazelle film, recalls her interesting work experience at Three Dog Bakery prior to acting.
With her counter days serving dog treats behind her, Emma can still rattle the best-selling treats for her canine customers.
“Pup tarts. Pop Tarts, but for dogs. And Pupcakes. Then there was a kind of dog Oreo made with carob and honey,” the actress relayed to Vogue. “A mom would come in and buy them for her kid because she thought dog Oreos were healthier.”
Even with her success in acting, Emma can’t get away from questions regarding ex-boyfriend Andrew Garfield. When asked about her relationship with The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star, she referred to him as “someone I still love very much.”
As for her role in the much-anticipated musical film, it’s one of her most ambitious role yet.
“Obviously it was a big swing to do an original musical where she’d have to sing and dance and the whole gamut on-screen,” Chazelle notes. “But Emma just has that presence. She’s a great comedienne and also can be tremendously moving. She can play every single register.”
