Chanel now serves the full course of its collection in an expanded Chanel boutique in Orlando, which opened Thursday May 21.
Located at Orlando’s Mall of Millenia, the move to the 5,300 square foot space designed by Peter Marino began because of Orlando, Florida’s market growth caused by tourism, reports the Orlando Sentinel.
“Since we’re giving the local individual the full offer of Chanel, they don’t have to hop on the plane and fly to Miami or Atlanta or Palm Beach to see everything,” said Barbara Cirkva, Chanel Inc. division president of fashion.
First opened in 2002, the formerly 2,000 square foot boutique that used to focus on handbags and accessories will now include ready-to-wear fashions as well as shoes. Looks like tourists will wear some brand new Chanel ankle-strap loafers as they walk into Disney’s Cinderella Castle.
