On April 19, Calvin Klein creative directors announced their dual departure. Francisco Costa, creative director of the Calvin Klein Collection women’s line, and Italo Zucchelli, of the men’s line are leaving their roles at the brand.
The designers have both shaped the brand for over a decade. Costa joined Calvin Klein in 2001 and Zucchelli in 2004.
“I would like to thank Francisco and Italo for their unwavering commitment to the Calvin Klein brand and their accomplishments over the past decade,” said CEO Steve Shiffman in a statement according to Fashionista, “They have both contributed immensely to making Calvin Klein a global leader in the fashion industry, and they have done so with dedication, focus and creativity.”
Calvin Klein has not yet announced who will fill the role of creative director of the American brand. Rumors are pointing towards Raf Simons, who left Dior last year, or Hedi Slimane, former creative director of Saint Laurent.
