British Vogue selects Edward Enninful to fill role of editor

After months of uncertainty, British Vogue has named Edward Enninful as its new Editor in Chief. The Ghanaian-British stylist will replace long time editor Alexandra Shulman in August.

Condé Nast International chairman and chief executive Jonathan Newhouse calls Enninful “an influential figure in the communities of fashion, Hollywood and music which shape the cultural zeitgeist.”

While Shulman brought the perspective of a writer turned editor, Enninful is backed by his experiece as a stylist. Shulman tells Vogue of her confidence in the transition, “Every Vogue editor arrives with their own range of talents and experience and Edward is very known, respected and liked within the fashion industry.”
