Not only Emma Stone struck for gold by winning the Academy Award for Best Actress, there were also several looks that won big and shone as their performances in the Oscars’ Red Carpet.

Gold and its different shades coming from the yellow palette and even with slight touches of bronze, were the key trend at the Oscars red carpet following our forecast on yellow as the new black.

Emma Stone went as a glamorous flapper girl, inspired by the jazz-infused musical she acted in, the retro vibe was served by Givenchy in a couture gown ready to swing thanks to its plethora of hanging shimmering fringes.

Felicity Jones went for a simple yet luxurious cream dress with a voluminous skirt in a metallic shade of cream, as Michelle Williams also did debuting in the red carpet wearing a gown with a black top and a pale shade of gold
for the accompanying long skirt.

Dakota Johnson glittered in Gucci with a yellow-gold silk gown featuring a bow detail across the hips and a high ruffled neck.

Others starlets rocking gold were Robin Roberts with unwashed undertones cracking the pristine confection, while Jasmine Tookes looked dazzling in the 25th Annual Elton John AIDs Fundation Viewing Party, also in the Academy Awards context.

It is true, all that glitters is not gold, but regarding the 89th Academy Awards, the gold is as stunning as it can be.
