From regal purple to star-gazing, Elie Saab honed in on its superhero status during Paris Fashion Week on Oct. 1.

The Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear collection emitted a seventies influence, spanning from its jackets to retro sunglasses.

“It’s about dancing—the disco, the seventies!” Saab told Vogue backstage of the show. “I lived through those years and remember my parents then. I think I took a lot from that decade through them.”

That explains the billowy sleeves reminiscent of Disco Stu with touches of 1980s prom dresses accessorized with glitzy baseball caps.

Saab also injected some flashy sequin dresses with plunging necklines that would be integral to any upscale disco party.

As for the star prints, they ranged from comic book style bam! to David Bowie star worship without missing a beat.

The cohesive collection drew the likes of Diane Kruger and Olivia Palermo to the front row as they watched models, like Karlie Kloss and Hailey Baldwin, walk the catwalk.
